We’re building the first prototype node of a breakthrough compute project, and need a hands-on leader to own the hardware systems engineering. You’ll take responsibility for hardware architecture, system engineering and design, component selection, bring-up, debug, performance, thermal, power and reliability optimization. You’ll work from first principles to solve new technical challenges, then lead the transition from a successful proof of concept to mass production manufacturing and deployment.
Own hardware architecture, component selection and system design, from initial concepts through scaled manufacturing
Bring up, test and validate prototypes: instrumentation, performance, power, cooling and networking
Troubleshoot complex hardware and system integration issues
Optimize and iterate prototypes: compute, memory, storage, network, power, thermal and reliability performance
Document: system specifications, architecture and designs, test plans and bring‑up results.
Support scale to production: Partner with cross functional team to define and deliver hardware that meets performance, cost, reliability and schedule requirements at production scale to support a successful deployment.
